Destiny 2 is a worthy follow-up to Bungie’s original 2014 release, chock full of the top-tier gunplay and social fun that hooked the game’s fans since their first descent into the Vault of Glass. New to this iteration of Destiny — a more engaging narrative, supplemented by loads of side activities and quests. Old foes return with some new twists: no new enemy types yet. Destiny 2 adds some much-needed quality-of-life improvements, though some still tend to confuse, and the infusion system is a step back from D1’s. These shortcomings aren’t enough to do substantial damage, however. Destiny 2 is great and deserves a play.
