Hello again, and welcome to the second-ever installment of our weekly series, “Bobby Kotick still has his job.” You can read the first in the series here.
We are now 58 days out from Nov. 16, 2021, when the Wall Street Journal reported that Bobby Kotick had known about sexual misconduct at Activision Blizzard for quite some time. Many years. Despite knowing, he never informed the company’s board and, in some cases, actually provided cover for the accused.
That story, by the way, also included a nugget about the time Kotick threatened to have his secretary murdered. Who hasn’t done that, right?
Many Activision Blizzard employees would love to see Kotick hit the road. His feckless board, however, seems to have no intention of forcing him to do so. So this post (as well as the many that will likely follow it) is just a reminder that this happened and Bobby Kotick is still trucking right along as Activision Blizzard CEO.
Anyway, that wraps things up for this week. Join us next week for yet another edition of “Bobby Kotick still has his job.”
