CVS is now offering walk-in, no-appointment COVID-19 vaccines

Drug store chain CVS is now allowing those who want a COVID-19 vaccine to walk in and get immunized with “no appointment necessary.”

CVS is taking a major step to help the unvaccinated get their COVID-19 shots. According to a press release shared by CBS 4’s Liam Martin on Twitter, the drug store chain is now allowing those who want a vaccine to walk in and get immunized with “no appointment necessary.”

The press release notes that the chain has vaccinations in full swing at “8,300 stores across 49 States, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C.” To date, CVS reports that it has already helped administer 17 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

“We continue to orchestrate an all-out effort to vaccinate the nation against COVID-19,” the company’s CEO, Karen S. Lynch, said in the press release.
