The Epic Games Store Mega Sale has officially kicked off, and you know what that means: discounted video games, and the opportunity to add even more to your already crazy backlog. The sale launched by making NBA 2K21 the free game for the week — a pretty baller move (I’ll see myself out now). In case you don’t have time to go browse the store yourself, though — or you aren’t interested in sifting through absolutely everything, we’ve hand picked some of the best deals available at the moment.
What constitutes a “best deal,” you ask? If a game is interesting (new to platform, for example), or if I’m fairly certain the price isn’t consistently lower elsewhere. Those are my criteria.
- Outriders is selling for $44.99.
- Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Splinter Cell: Double Agent are priced at a mere $2.49.
- The Kingdom Hearts series is relatively new to PC, but is getting discounted all the same. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX is $33.49. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is $40.19. Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind is $40.19. Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory is $40.19.
- Immortals: Fenyx Rising is $29.99.
- Crysis Remastered is $14.99.
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning rings up at $19.99.
- Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is a nice $25.99.
- Death Stranding is just $23.99.
Just a fair warning that the store is unsurprisingly slammed at the moment, likely due to the sale happening and NBA 2K21 being a free game. Things don’t always load up the first try. So if you keep receiving a “No results found” message, that’s why.
Also — I just want to note the most absurdly bad price I’ve seen thus far, and it’s that only because of the price the game has sold at pretty much everywhere else. The Epic Games Store has The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year Edition at $39.96. You could find this package selling for $14.99 for less in just about any other store during a sale. Avoid, unless you really like EGS as your launcher.
