How to get Outbreak Perfected in Destiny 2

Siva.

The original Destiny‘s Rise of Iron expansion is looked back on fondly by many. Who doesn’t remember clumsily hopping to the top of Felwinter Peak in a game that didn’t have a clamber mechanic? Who doesn’t remember working feverishly to get Outbreak Perfected from the Wrath of the Machine Raid? That Exotic Pulse Rifle, by the way, is now back and just as Siva-infused as it ever was. So if you want to know how to get Outbreak Perfected in Destiny 2, keep on reading.

But be warned: you’re going to be a little sad at all the fun you missed.

Outbreak Perfected was once obtainable through a secret mission

Much like Whisper of the Worm through “The Whisper” mission, Outbreak Perfected once came as a reward from completing a secret activity called “Zero Hour.” If you weren’t around during this time, you missed the introduction of one of Destiny 2‘s greatest characters: TR3-VR, a maniacal robot found zipping through hallways in one part of the mission.

Of course, that mission is now gone: the Destiny Content Vault put the old version of the Tower (which was used in that activity) into storage, which means you can no longer do “Zero Hour.”

Fortunately, the question of how to get Outbreak Perfected in Destiny 2 still has an answer today, and it’s loads easier than dodging a death zamboni.

You can now buy Outbreak Perfected

Monument to Lost Lights

Those wondering how to get Outbreak Perfected in Destiny 2 can look no further than the Monument to Lost Lights in the Tower. Head there, but first, make sure you have the following:

Once you’ve got all of that prepped, open the Monument and jump into the “Red War Exotics” section. There, you’ll find Outbreak Perfected sitting in the eighth spot — the second-to-last gun in the row.

And that’s how to get Outbreak Perfected in Destiny 2

Outbreak Perfected is a fun weapon to use. In fact, it was a go-to for quite a while in the Scourge of the Past Raid, as the nanites from Outbreak would build up outside Insurrection Prime even when it was immune to damage. Then, once that shield came off, pain came for old IP.

Alas, Bungie has nerfed the weapon a bit. But it’s still a good time in many PvE activities, and even more fun in the Crucible if you can net yourself some nanite kills. You may not get the experience of doing “Zero Hour,” but using the info above, you can at least buy the reward from it. That’s something, isn’t it?
